References in this Notice of Data Processing (“Notice”) to ‘we’, ‘us’ and ‘Kith’ are to Kith London Limited (company number 15991179), registered offices 2nd Floor 168 Shoreditch High Street, London, United Kingdom, E1 6R.
The aim of this Notice is to let you know what personal data we collect from you when you apply for a job with us, how we store and use it, and how you can access and manage this information.
Please note that this Notice only covers activities that involve the use of personal data relating to applicants.
Other websites belonging to us or accessible via links are not covered by this Notice. If you access any of these Kith sites, please check the privacy policy applicable to these sites (if any) before you submit any of your personal data to them.
What types of personal data do we collect?
We may collect and/or process the following types of personal data about you:
- Title, Name and Surname
- Email address
- Home address
- Date of birth
- Phone number(s)
- CV and information about your career
- Education and qualifications
- Interview feedback
- As part of our offer of employment we will also validate and store other sensitive data such as Visa, Right to Work and for certain roles, we may also engage with 3rd parties to verify references, criminal records or undertake other specialist employment checks.
- Your IP address for login purposes. When visiting our website we collect an automatically populated IP address. An IP address is a unique number which allows a computer, group of computers or other internet connected device (such as your mobile or tablet) to browse the internet. We may also record the time and date of your visit, the referring website (if provided) and your internet browser version.
- Information about your past and current employment
- Information about you contained in free text fields (such as personal statements) or CVs (where applicable).
- Record of references received from third parties (including those you give us, credit reference and fraud prevention agencies) and of any other correspondence or communication between you and us, whether written, e-mailed, or as a result of interviews or recorded telephone calls.
Information we obtain from third parties:
Your information may be shared with us by third-party organisations that Kith works with. These third-party organisations will only do so when there is a lawful basis to do so. You should check their privacy policy when you provide your information to them, to understand fully how they will process and safeguard your data and share the same with Kith.
Third party organisations may include:
- Recruitment Consultancies or Executive Search Firms. Your information may be shared with us by third parties known to you, who have applied for a role on your behalf.
- Research Companies. Kith may use a search or research firm to find candidates for a specific role.
- Social Media. We may also check and store publicly available information from social media accounts that provide relevant work information such as LinkedIn or Facebook.
Ensuring your personal data is only used where lawful
In order for us to store and use your personal data, we need to comply with applicable data protection laws. The lawful reason for us to capture and store your personal data is to enable us to provide the very best recruitment services to you and our other candidates and for compliance with our other legal obligations.
Why we collect your personal data and How We Use It
We may use and process your personal data where it is necessary for us to do so in connection with or anticipation of a contract, to process your job application and otherwise manage the recruitment process.
Where we have a justifiable reason (legitimate interest) to provide the very best recruitment services:
- We capture, review, analyse and process any data you have submitted during an application process.
- We may also actively match your details to current career opportunities or those which arise in the future.
- We use that data to maintain our relationship with you.
- We use your data to enable you to receive relevant vacancy alerts aligned with your interests or skill sets.
- We will use your contact details to be able to answer your enquiries.
- Supporting our research - we collect and may disclose statistical information gathered as a whole (e.g. total number of applicants and applicant origin) for internal reporting purposes and to improve the experience we offer to our global job seekers. However, we never disclose information that identifies any individual for such purposes.
- To help us assess and process your job application.
- To help us check and confirm the references that you provide as part of your job application.
- To check with any necessary regulatory, industry and/or security authorities relevant to the position that you have applied for.
- Where you have consented, we may use your personal data to send you email follow up communication.
How long will Kith retain my personal data?
We will retain your personal data for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purposes detailed above, including the purposes of satisfying any legal requirements, where we have a legitimate interest or where required, for Kith to establish, exercise or defend against legal claims.
If Kith no longer needs to retain certain personal details, for example, to carry out analytical and research activities, where possible we will delete personal details about you. Who do we disclose your personal data to?
There are limited circumstances when Kith may disclose the personal data we collect about you to third parties, most notably:
- Service Providers: With third-party service providers under written contract with Kith and acting under Kith’s direction and instructions, such as auditors, administrative service providers, travel agencies, and any other entity providing services to Kith.
- Corporate Affiliates: With affiliated companies, such as grandparent, parent and/or subsidiary corporations, for the purposes described above.
- Required by Law: When required by law, such as to tax authorities or when we respond to subpoenas, court orders, legal process, or a discovery request(s) in civil litigation;
- Protect Your Health and Safety: When necessary to protect your health or safety, such as disclosure to emergency medical personnel if you experience a medical emergency in the workplace.
- Protect Our Rights: If we believe that your actions violate applicable law, or threaten the rights, property, or safety of Kith’s employees or others. We also may disclose personal data to third parties as necessary to establish or exercise our legal rights in litigation, or to defend against legal claims.
- Corporate Transactions: If we sell some or all of our business, we may disclose all of the information that we have collected about you to a purchaser or, in due diligence, to a potential purchaser, but subject to a confidentiality agreement, or if we are involved in a bankruptcy proceeding.
How can you find out what personal data we hold about you?
You are entitled to request access to the personal data that we hold about you at any time. If you write to, email or phone us and ask to see this information, it is known as a ‘data subject access request’ or ‘DSAR’ for short). You can do so by e-mailing us at dataprotectionUK@kithnyc.com inserting the words ‘Data Request’ in the subject line.
You are entitled to make a request about your personal data covering the following:
- Request access to your personal data;
- Request that Kith update, correct or delete your personal data;
- Withdraw your consent to the processing of your personal data, in circumstances where it was previously provided;
- request restriction of processing of your personal data;
- request data portability;
- object to the processing of your personal data; and/or
- be informed about the collection and use of your personal data.
More on the right to withdraw consent: If Kith requests your consent to process your personal data and you do consent, you may use the contact information below to withdraw your consent. Any withdrawal shall not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal, and Kith will continue to retain the information that you provided us before you withdrew your consent for as long as allowed or required by applicable law.
More on the right to data portability: Subject to certain limitations, the right to data portability allows you to obtain from Kith, or to ask Kith to send to a third party, a copy of your personal data in electronic form that you provided to Kith in connection with the performance of your employment agreement or with your consent.
More on the right to object: You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data based solely on Kith’s or the Parent Corporation’s legitimate interests. If you do object in these circumstances, the processing of your personal data will be stopped unless there is an overriding, compelling reason to continue the processing or the processing is necessary to establish, pursue or defend legal claims.
If, after contacting us, you have unresolved concerns, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (www.ico.org.uk).
Making sure your personal data is secure
The security of your personal data is of utmost importance to us. We use appropriate security measures to protect it against any loss, destruction or unauthorised use.
Information you provide to Kith, may be shared within the rest of the Kith. We also work with trusted third parties to help us deliver an excellent service to you and in fulfillment of our legitimate interests (as mentioned above). We require all third parties that interact with Kith’s information or customer data to undergo an information-security due diligence assessment.
This is to ensure that information is only shared with third parties who have appropriate security measures in place.
Our website uses software to provide high-level encryption technology although, unfortunately, sending personal data over the internet is not secure and as such, we cannot be held responsible for it. We strongly encourage you to never send any sensitive information, such as passwords or credit card information, via email.
In creating a password to access certain parts of our website, you are responsible for keeping it secure and confidential. Please do not share a password with anyone.
We do not sell customer information and will not share your information with any third parties for the purposes of marketing their goods and services to you without your consent.
International transfers of your personal data
Because Kith is part of a global corporation, your personal data, including the categories listed above, may be accessed by employees of Kith Retail, LLC based in the United States (“Kith USA”). The employees of Kith USA will process your personal data for the purposes described above. Kith has taken steps to ensure an adequate level of protection for your transferred personal data.

Cookies are files that are recorded in temporary Internet folders on your PC. They're a useful tool as, by recording the way you use our site, they enable us to get to know you better.
